Huntsville, AL, March 3, 2018 – KFS, LLC has acquired a Mavic Pro aerial drone for use in geographic surveys. The Mavic Pro will be used initially to collect aerial data and update imagery. The drone will allow KFS to provide accurate, real-time imagery to customers with speed and accuracy greater than most geospatial companies.
The Mavic Pro drone is a sophisticated unmanned aerial vehicle capable of traveling 8 miles (13 km) while collecting high-quality photographic images and 4K video footage. The aerial imagery will be used to bolster KFS’s already extensive geospatial data collection capabilities and give them a greater edge over competition, while delivering a superior product.
Currently, KFS has one licensed drone pilot, with two more in training.
