Environmental Planning, Compliance, and Remediation Technical Services (EPCARTS)
Huntsville, AL – June 30, 2017 – KFS, LLC has been awarded a Single Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (SA IDIQ) by the Army Contracting Command in support of the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSEN). The estimated value of the contract is $48 million over 5 years.
KFS will provide support to assist the DCSEN in executing and implementing environmental remediation services and environmental compliance plans and programs in support of USASMDC/ARSTRAT and their customer’s mission, to include investigation and remediation of contaminated sites (including fuels, hazardous/toxic/radioactive waste, munitions, and explosives concern, PCBs, etc.), field investigations (such as installation of monitoring wells, soil borings, soil, sediment, water and air sampling), and laboratory analysis of soil, water, and air samples.
The USASMDC/ARSTRAT DCSEN is responsible for all command environmental plans and programs, as well as implementation and management of all command environmental compliance/planning/ remediation activities in support of the Command’s mission, including remote locations such as US Army Kwajalein Atoll and Fort Greely, AK.
